About Us
The Dedman School of Hospitality is a favored hiring source for managers of the world’s leading hotels, restaurants, clubs and resorts. School administrators and faculty members work with top industry organizations, executives and alumni to provide students with a relevant curriculum, valuable internship experiences and networking/mentorship opportunities. Graduates are prepared to fill the growing global demand for multicultural awareness in hospitality managers and experience high industry placement rates.

The Dedman School’s internship program encourages experiential learning as a complementary approach to classroom education. In addition to established internships across the U.S., the Dedman School offers internships with world-class operations in London and Scotland. Students are encouraged to enrich their education through the Dedman School’s Leysin, Switzerland Study Abroad Program
. Networking and leadership opportunities are available through student organizations, such as the Club Manager Association of America, Eta Sigma Delta, Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, PGA Professional Golf Management Club and the Society of Hosts, and our numerous hospitality events. Our unique curriculum parallels the requirements for membership in the elite Garnet & Gold Scholar Society
. Additionally, the college’s Student Leadership Council sponsors several networking events and student engagement programs to assist students in the transition from college to careers. Generous scholarships help support students along the way.
Dedman School of Hospitality faculty members have extensive practical industry experience, and national and international reputations as outstanding teachers and researchers. Their research is enhanced through the International Center for Hospitality Research. Faculty members have received a number of teaching awards and are actively in involved in writing, research and community service. They are committed to preparing students for successful careers not only through classroom instruction, but by offering one-on-one advising and help with career and internship placement, facilitating alumni contacts, organizing school events and providing information on financial assistance.
